Knolls

Getting There:

To get to the Knolls take I-80 west towards Wendover about 85 miles.  There is an exit 41 with a sign.  Go south (left ) across the freeway and the west on the frontage road for 1.5 miles.  Turn left  to a parking place of your choosing or to the BLM sign.  There is no real parking area.

Watering Holes:

Wendover is 40 miles to the west.  Delle has a gas station and a little food place last time I was there.  Other than that the Grantsville/Tooele Exit.

Camping:

There are some primitive camping stops all around the area.

Riding

This is a 36,000 acres sand pile.  Many dunes and some hills to play on.  There are trails going every where.  This would be a great place to take the kids.  Many places to ride and small hills to climb.  It would be a good ides to put a flag on your ATV so others can see you.  To the south is the bombing test range and to the east is the toxic waste dumb.  It wasn't glowing when we were there.  Sorry I wasn't into photography when I went riding here and took no pictures.

Winter Riding

This trail is great when you need to get out in the winter.  Not to far from Salt lake Valley and wont have any more snow than the valley does.
