Paiute ATV Trail 01 From trail 04 to Aurora

This trail gets a lot of traffic out of Richfield.  It is rated more difficult and is all graded forest service roads.  From the intersection at 04 you go up a small hill and then down to a river crossing.  The river is only a few inches deep.  I have been down at the river when the dust was a foot deep. From the small stream you will gradually climbing up hill all the way to where the trail intersects Trail 00. At the intersection of Trail 00 the trail is pines and aspens. The Trail 01 is pretty flat all along the top from Trail 00 to Trail 96, there is some up hills and down hills on the trail but they are not steep. There is a restroom at the intersection of Trail 03 and Trail 01. After Trail 96 rail 01 drops down to almost Highway 50. If you get to highway 50 you have gone to far. There is primitive camping all along the top of the trail from 00 to 96. You would want to drive up the forest road 102 from highway 50. It is a little steep with a switch back. The trail from forest road 102 to Aurora is pretty flat but very rocky. The first picture is the view on top towards Richfield and the second is the restroom.
